Dog Flags GIVEAWAY

How many times have you walked your dog only to be approached by another dog that is…well….less than friendly? But you didn’t realize it until you got too close? Or you saw a dog in the distance and wanted to take your dog to meet it for some social interaction, but weren’t sure if you should?

Kristin Valgardson experienced the same thing with her dog. And it occurred to her that there was a way to clear the air and make a dog’s disposition readily apparant.

Dog Flags. A new social contract between dogs and people. It’s simple enough – a flag that you put on your leash that tells your dog’s disposition: Friendly, I’m Shy, Please Don’t Approach, In Training, and Special Needs. Learn more about Dog Flags from my interview with Kristin.

Mine is definitely special needs. He is easily spooked by loud noises, and is afraid of men in particular for some reason, so we have to be careful about those!

Mine is special needs as she has arthritis and although she loves it when people come up and pet her, there are certain areas which give her pain when they are touched.

This is such a GREAT idea! I want the Special Needs flag. My little guy has no teeth and it would help warn others with dogs to keep an eye on theirs around him.

Please don’t approach. I foster for a rescue and the first few days with a new dog can be a little “too” exciting on our walks. I’d love to have the chance to know the dog before I try other dog interactions.

Are you on Etsy.com, EBay.com, etc…? This is the best idea I have come across in quite sometime; I am extremely happy I ran found this GiveAway (even if I am too late) glad you thought of this…

I volunteer and foster for several local rescue and it would be wonderful to have anyone of these to use during our Meet & Greet Events for all of our adoptable dogs.
