I’ve talked before about how much my mother complains about Dash’s stinky-ness. I don’t mind the doggie smell, but, after all, she is the one living with him. So when I was contacted by Wahl Home Products to test-drive a new shampoo line and a grooming clipper, I jumped at the chance.
I received a full-sized Wahl’s Four-In-One shampoo and conditioner (lavender scented, yummy) and a Delux Pro-Series Pet clipper. The shampoo and conditioner is formulated with lavender and chamomile to help clean, condition and detangle the coat. What I really liked about it (besides the scent – not too overpowering) is that it uses 100% natural plant derived ingredients. The shampoo is also PEG-80 free and since it’s concentrated you only need to use a small amount. My mother absolutely loved the shampoo – it made his coat smell really nice and gave it a lot of shine.
I like to keep Dash in a buzz cut in the summer, and grooming costs really add up. So I was really interested in trying out the Deluxe Clipper. I charged it up the night before (nice that it’s handheld) and 24 hours later it was ready to go. Check out the video below (and excuse my mother’s novice camera skills) to see how it worked:
I loved it. I can’t say enough how much I really liked this clipper. It was so easy to use and clipped the hair perfectly. It was contoured to fit perfectly in my hand and gave an even cut. I’ve tried other clippers that I’ve bought from Pet-Smart, but they were far inferior to this one. It is costly, though, (retails for around $80) but totally worth it. In the long term, it will save me a ton in grooming costs.
So, if you are looking for a clipper and shampoo, I cannot recommend the Wahl products enough. I know I rarely push a product, but this one I stand behind. Check it out.
