Sponsored by Evo pet food, the Super Pet Expo will again unite pet owners and animal lovers at the premiere shopping extravaganza and animal entertainment destination. From February 10th through February  12th, pet owners and pet lovers will be able to shop for their four-legged friends at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison, NJ. No other event in the New York Metro area delivers more animal education and entertainment under one roof!  Even better — Leashed pets welcome to attend.

The fun-filled family event will feature more than 150 pet-related vendors along with some highly unique entertainment and educational activities, including the following:

EVO High Flying Athletic Dog Show: See world class canine athletes who jump super high catching Frisbee’s along an agility race with tunnels, weaves, jumps and more. Disc dog is the more generic term for what is commonly called Frisbee Dog. See distance catching and somewhat choreographed freestyle catching.

Hot Dog Pig Racing: The hottest new pig racing show in this country is Hot Dog Pig Racing. These awkward, but cute and cuddly racing animals will fascinate everyone. Watch these natural comedians bolt from the starting gate and race around the track snorting and squealing, stubby legs churning and curly tails sailing along behind. Races include the Hollywood Hog All Star’s, Royal Pigs of Hameot, International Stunt Team, Hot Dog Pig Gracing Team and the Super Hot Dog Team.

Wiener Dog Racing Team: See a team of high energy miniature dachshunds dressed in burns and finished with mustard or ketchup. During the racing action, you will see wiener dogs running through an agility course. Dachshund (or wiener dog) races are not career racers nor bred for racing. Wieneer takes all!

Stupid Pet Trick Auditions: The Late Show with David Letterman is looking for contestants for upcoming Stupid Pet Tricks segments. Your trick must be fun, unique and safe. The sillier and stranger the better. All types of animals are welcome. Auditions will be taped and sent to the Late Show with David Letterman for consideration. Selected participants will receive a free trip to New York for a chance to perform their trick on the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater in front of millions of Late Show viewers.

Puppy Playground: The World’s Largest Indoor Puppy Playground spanning nearly 5,000 square feet guarantees to be a fun and educational environment for your dog. There is no better way to socialize man’s best friend.

Rescue Ink: Meet the Rescue Ink tough guys. Rescue Ink is a rescue group unlike any you have seen before –  a bunch of tattooed, motorcycle-riding tough guys who have joined together to fight animal cruelty, educate abusers and help resolve situations other rescue groups cannot or will not handle themselves. Tune into Rescue Ink Unleashed on the National Geographic Channel.

Extreme Reptiles: See an amazing venomous snake exhibit and experience the wonder and excitement of these fascinating animals. Learn and view them with a greater understanding. Gain new respect for these amazing animals and become inspired to take action for the preservation of these animals and their habitats.

Animal Talent Agent: Dawn Wolfe, owner of Pawsitively Famous Animal Actors, has made a name in the Hollywood industry as the “trainer of the pet stars.” Currently serving as the talent coordinator and wrangler for the Animal Planet TV show Dogs 101, Dawn’s previous work has been featured in several films and various national commercials. She will be presenting a free workshop on “Getting Your Pet into Show Business.” Plus she will be evaluating animals at the show for modeling and talent opportunities.

Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery: Dominic Rizzo is committed to the protection and welfare of all animals. He takes a fun, informative and educational approach to show everyone the environmental value of reptiles. Plus you will be able to get up close to snakes, turtles, alligators and more.

Low-Cost Micro-chipping and Vaccinations: Many pet guardians turn to microchip technology to help their pets return home if they are ever lost and their collars come off. Low cost micro-chipping and vaccinations are available at the show. Sponsored by the New Jersey SPCA.

Ask the Trainer: Representatives from the International Association of Canine Professionals are happy to answer all of your questions about your pets’ behaviors.

Show hours are 4:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday; 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday; and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on
