I belong to an outdoor doog dog park in NJ. There is a yearly fee and you get a magnetic key card to enter and exit. I love that there are standards that you have to meet to be admitted. To have something like that, in Philly, and have it be indoors would be ‘paw’some!

Yeah, I believe it’s a developer looking to develop a day-care facility with pay-to-use indoor park rates. And want to know what the market is like. Good luck to them. Getting a daycare developed in Center City is near impossible apparently. Eh?

Anyone know of any indoor play areas for dogs in the Bucks County area? Everything is sooo far away. It’s too cold most days for my new puppy, but he wants to meet other dogs and play!

Important to understand that a uniform set of regulations, conditions for opening a dog park is being developed in coordination w/Philadelphia Fairmount Park Assn & PA Horticultural Society. Also important to recognize that most of the existing dog parks in Philadelphia also have great difficulty in getting users to join, in order to pay for maintenance & upkeep. What’s being proposed isn’t really a dog park – it’s a private dog recreation facility at a per-use cost. Dog parks are generally free.
