PAWS – Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society

On Thursday, June 24, PAWS’ Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic sustained damage after a sudden, intense rainstorm. The building flooded, the roof was damaged, and supplies were lost. To make matters worse, heavy winds knocked down their beautiful new outdoor sign! It’s been smashed to pieces and needs to be replaced – will you chip in to help?

With the clinic still in its first few months of operation, it’s incredibly important to make the public aware of their services, and they can’t do it without a big sign to announce their presence!  We owe it to the animals to spread the word that veterinary care is available for pet owners who cannot otherwise afford or access it.

Since durable outdoor signs are very expensive and all our available funds are being used to rescue animals in need, we’re turning to our friends and supporters for help. Any contribution, however small, will make a huge difference.  Just go to their FirstGiving page and make a donation.

The PAWS Spay/Neuter medical clinic serves pet owners and rescues by helping to keep pets healthy and reducing the homeless animal population at an affordable price.  In addition to low spay/neuter rates, they offer exams and treatments for common conditions, such as worms, fleas and upper respiratory conditions while also giving vaccinations and microchips!

The PAWS wellness clinic also offers a low-cost vaccination clinic EVERY Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.  Cats are only $20 while dogs are $25 (rabies and distemper).  No appointment is necessary.

For more information or to make an appointment, contact the clinic at 215-298-9680 or email at clinic@phillypaws.org.

The Philly PAWS Medical Clinic is located at 2900 Grays Ferry Avenue in Philadelphia, PA.
