Marine Dog Pet Supplies Corporation began after it’s founder, Rob Amato, became frustrated at the poor quality and workmanship in other dog leashes.  The leashes he bought either frayed, broke, or just plain wore out after a short period of time.  Tired of purchasing several leashes due to inefficiency, wear and tear or faulty design,  he realized that due to the  mass production of these items that the vendor overlooked the basic elements of a successful leash or lead.  He knew he could build a better leash.

Determined to make an item that would outlast him or his pet, he ventured off to create a home-spun hand-made dog leash that was colorful, yet versatile, heavy duty but most important long lasting.  He walked his dog daily and wanted to be sure that he had a product that was not only secure but also stylish and comfortable.  And so, Marine Dog was born.
