your dumb lady bestfriends is the best kennel out there and there are no "in home boarding", and they don't have licenses to do that so you are risking your dog's life. Bestfriends does more than any kennel does and sure it may seem pricey but do you want the best for your dog or would you rather them stay at a vet kennel where they get zero attention.

I would stay away from this place. I would analogize this with doggie prison, at best.

I have on occassion picked up a someone else's dog who stayed at this place and was APPAULED by their services. They keep your dog locked in a crate or pen all day and sometimes dont even let them out to pee - they have to pee in their sleeping quarters. And the basic boarding price doesnt include walks or outside playtime. When I picked up a bull dog, I took her outside immediately and she peed for the longest time Id ever seen her (and bull dogs can HOLD it for a long time). She obviously hadnt been out in a very very long while. There are no overnight attendants to as well, and no real one on one supervision at any time.

Try to find someone who boards (only a few) dogs in their home or who does one-on-one care in someone's home. Just make sure they arent gone for most of the day, will give you personalized updates and they take the time to bond with your dog.

Google philadelphia dog "in home boarding" (in quotes) to find someone in your area. Just stay away from the corporate pet services.. they are too big to be able to provide personalized service.
